I haven't done my obligatory 'go vote' post yet, so here it is.

Please, people, get out there and vote today! I don't care who you vote for, well I do, but not so much as I care that you just get out there and do it. It's such an important right, and it saddens me that so many people take it for granted. Especially, you know, women and kids under 21 and minorities, etc., those of us who haven't always had the right to vote. So go! Do it!

I'd still rather people that don't know anything about the issues just stay at home and watch The O.C. than vote.
Yeah, voting is important...but, frankly, a lot of people shouldn't vote. Because a vote based on "my friends are all voting for him" or some crap like that is what makes our election system a joke.

...that, and the fact that an individual's vote really doesn't matter, as 2000 proved. I'm a cynical bastard, I know, but the cynical outlook has been looking more and more like a realist view of late...

See. It's not that I want the stupid people to vote. It's that I want people not to be stupid and to pay attention to things and to want to vote.

That's a rare bit of idealism from me. But whatever. It's something I believe is important. Maybe our system isn't perfect, but it's what we have right now.

I don't know. At all. I just hate to see people be stupid and apathetic. Because there's almost nothing I hate more than stupidity and apathy in people. Even when I'm stupid and apathetic myself.
