hermit crabs and cowry shells
Apr. 16th, 2004 03:55 pmWhen feeling low, just do the latest Buffy quiz to make the rounds. Calming. Move along please, if this sort of thing does not suit your fancy.
Angel or Spike?
Angel is one of my favorite television characters, ever. He broods, he's heroic, he's badass, he doesn't always make the right choices, he makes stupid jokes, he likes well-dressed men, and he broods! I don't fundamentally dislike Spike, he's definitely had his moments that I've loved him for, but ultimately I always return to my Angel. :P
Buffy or Willow?
I used to really dislike Willow, but she really grew on me as her character grew and changed. Buffy is definitely awesome, but in later episodes I started to like her less. So I guess Willow, cause she also happened to date two of my favorite characters on the show. ;)
Fred or Cordelia?
Cordy, most definitely. I don't think Cordelia was at all interesting until she moved over to AtS. Then she developed a personality beyond ShallowSuperBitch, and I liked her lots. And she's infinitely more interesting than Fred.
Xander or Oz?
It's okay, Chris, this is a tough one. I love me some Xander, and up against any other character he would win. But Oz. He's Oz. Y'know?
Lilah or Lindsey?
Sorry, Chris, here's my sacriledge. I'm a Lindsey fan. Cause he sang to me, and I could watch that episode 12 times in a row and not get tired of it. ;) I think Lindsey's scenes with Lilah are almost more interesting than his scenes with Angel, though, so does that count?
Giles or Joyce?
Um, Giles. Joyce was annoying until she found out about Buffy being a slayer, and then she was such a cool mommy and I love her so, but Giles just has so much more going on under those tweed suits.
Wesley or Gunn?
Gunn has definitely grown on me in season 5, now that he's developed more of a purpose than just being the muscle. But Wes is so much more complex and his motivations are more subtle.
Anya or Tara?
Tara. She was so sweet and soft-spoken and strong. She's the only reason I think it's okay that Willow and Oz had to break up. ;) Anya was great, but mostly as comic relief. She didn't get a lot to do on an emotional level until Xander left her at the altar.
Connor or Dawn?
Dawn became a really cool character in season 7, but that may be because they didn't give her much to do. :P Connor never did anything but whine.
Kate or Jenny?
Kate was cool until her dad died. Jenny was cool except for when she didn't tell anyone she was working on a way to get Angel's soul back and then she had to go and die. But probably Jenny. She had a thing for Giles. ;)
Darla or Drusilla?
Darla. After seeing her with Angel, I was like, Buffy who?

Who is the best couple?
Buffy w/Angel, Spike, Riley, Parker, or Scott?
I will always have a soft spot for Buffy/Angel. It was so angsty and forbidden. So was Buffy/Spike, but in a much different way. I would probably have a similar Buffy/Spike soft spot if season 7 hadn't happened. Fluffy relationships are boring. That being said, Buffy probably would have been happiest with Riley in the long run.
Angel w/Buffy, Fred, Cordelia, Eve, Darla or Drusilla?
This one is a little more difficult. Cause I think Angel has only really loved Buffy in the true love kind of way. I think he could have loved Cordelia in that way, too, but they were never really given the chance. He and Darla loved each other, but more in the lustful, let's-go-kill-people way. Although, I think Angel/Darla is the most interesting relationship of all of them. So I don't know who he should end up with.
Fred w/Wesley, Gunn, Angel, Spike, or Knox?
Fred with Knox, providing he didn't go all evil and kill her so a demon could inhabit her body. Cause I still have a hard time believing she had a thing for Wesley for any other reason than it was a necessary plot device.
Xander w/Willow, Anya, Cordelia or Inca Mummy Girl?
With Anya, definitely. They were great for each other, and if things had gone a bit differently, they would have been a happily-ever-after kind of couple. In between the bickering, of course.
Willow w/Xander, Oz, Tara or Kennedy?
Oz, definitely. But I am in no way opposed to Willow/Tara. I think Willow/Kennedy is evil incarnate.

Some questions about Buffy.
What is your favorite overall episode?
Restless. It makes my English major-y heart happy. :)
What episode did you cry the most in?
The Body. Not hard to tell why.
What episode do you wish you could erase?
Lies My Parents Told Me, maybe? Or the one where they kicked Buffy out, cause it was just irritating to watch.
Who is your favorite character?
Oz. Or Xander.
Who is your least favorite character?
Kennedy. Somebody should have killed her. Painfully.

Some questions about Angel.
What is your favorite overall episode?
Dead End. With the Lindsey singing and the 12-year-old boys fighting and yeah. Evil hand!
Who is your least favorite character?
Eve. I'll be happy when she dies. Cause she has to die, right?
What episode were you most surprised by?
Lineage. Cause woah with the nine times.
If Angel and Spike had a rematch, would Spike still win?
Angel would totally kick his ass this time. He wants it more, now.
