I don't know why I'm so overtired today, but I really feel like if I don't get some work to do or something to occupy myself with here soon I'm going to pass out right at my desk. I'm undercaffeinated, but the thought of a cup of coffee right now is making my stomach turn.

Anyway, the real reason for this post. I love 12 of 12, and I've never done it before. So I actually remembered my camera yesterday and gave it a try, and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be.

8:33 a.m. Already late for work, and I hit the light.
If I hit that light, I hit every single red light between my house and my office, which turns a five minute drive into fifteen.
GOOD TIMES. (I know, I know. Don't complain about a 3 mile commute, Heather...)

10:21 a.m. Spending my morning typing up subpoenas on the world's last surviving typewriter. I hate that thing.

11:36 a.m. Spent a good portion of the rest of the morning talking to [livejournal.com profile] madmoisellestar
and trying to figure out how to get a job in Vancouver.
Looks like the most efficient way is to marry a nice Canadian boy or girl. Any takers?

12:42 p.m. Running errands at lunch. Can we talk about how it was 70 degrees here last week?
I'm kind of over this schizophrenic weather.

1:07 p.m. This is possibly my favorite thing in all of Annapolis:
a cemetary in the median between two busy, major roads.

1:15 p.m. Picking up lunch for the office at my favorite Annapolis deli.

4:09 p.m. Quitting time in less than an hour, and this is the pile of work still on my desk.
I ended up leaving without finishing just about any of it. :p

5:02 p.m. I left work a few minutes early and got stuck in the worst traffic jam I've ever seen.
I'm pretty sure the entire town was at a dead standstill for at least two hours.
It took me an hour and ten minutes to go the three miles between my office and home. I'm not even exaggerating.

6:23 p.m. I now know my Maryland voting rights! Thanks, handy sign!

6:40 p.m. I voted! (And ha, Aster! Didn't have to wait in line at all, unless you count the 70 minute traffic jam...)
Also? How exhausted am I? Sleep deprivation is not a good look on me.

7:38 p.m. Was supposed to meet a friend for coffee,
but the bad traffic and weather and the fact that the stupid coffee shop closed at 6pm as part of its new "winter hours" kept her away.
I went to the mall instead and this store had finally opened, and the less said about how much money I spent in there the better.
Ridiculously, ridiculously good and EXPENSIVE tea. I also want one of every tea set they have, FYI.
Like this and this especially. And this! And also this.

NOT PICTURED: The fall I had flat on my ass making my way up the sidewalk to my front steps. I mean, full on both of my feet flying up in front of me, I'm shocked I didn't sprain or break anything. The entire sidewalk and the steps to my front door were covered in a very thick, very literal sheet of ice. Not fun. But, at least no one was around to see. :p

10:36 p.m. After a hot bath to soothe my aching, fell-on-my-ass muscles,
a mug of my way expensive (but oh so delicious) jasmine tea, book, and sleep.
I'm trying out this whole reading thing. I hear I used to like it.

I will move to Vancouver with you! Not only do they film SPN there, but my Obscure Crush lives there, too! Stalking time!

Let's do it!

Unfortunately, though, it looks next to impossible to get a job unless you have some sort of skills. Which I don't. So the next best idea is to become Canadian!

I was thinking of going to the Vancouver Circus School and developing some whacky skillz. I can become a bellydancing sideshow performer!

I get stuck at the light every morning!!!!!

Ah, the familiar 2/11/08 Annapolis Traffic Jam. Worst.Traffic.Ever. Stuck at that same circle...only it was darker, later, and colder :(

As I drove past the mall, it was empty. I almost stopped at Noodles & Co. and thought about calling/asking you to join me....but I decided I was in a serious "MUST GET HOME" mode after sitting in the jam.

Did that suck or did that suck? They kept the polls open later because half of Maryland couldn't get home. :p

You shoulda called, I was there! :p

I can't vote, I still rock the independent party.

Yes, I should have called, but seriously, worst traffic ever drained me of my life.

If it makes you feel any better about falling, I fell a few minutes ago while dragging my trash cans up the little hill to my yard. Only I didn't fall back. I'm not sure if it was reflexes or luck that managed to get me on my feet a split second after my face hit the ground...

I did. At least it was onto slush and grass as opposed to the sidewalk or something.

But I made it look cool.*

*(note: no, I didn't)
