evergleamI just wanted to say that I did have a good day. I spent the day in DC with Greg and his friend. We went to my favorite museum, and then made our way to Georgetown to eat at Manhattan's, which is this really great seafood grill. We ate ice cream and went to Barnes & Noble. I even rode the metro in and out of the city all by my lonesome.
Although. Riding home alone at 10:30 at night, right through southeast might I add, made me realize just how screwed up our precious little world is. I was wearing a pretty skirt today, and I was sitting by myself on the train, and this big tall man sat right next to me. He struck up a conversation with me, telling me that I looked very nice, and asking me questions about where I went to school, told me where he went, all sorts of things. And all I could think was that he was just being nice because so he could catch me off guard when he followed me off the train and tried to rape or kill me. I literally almost started crying in relief when he got of the train. And then I was just upset, because he was just a nice man, who helped an older lady with her bags, and just wanted to have polite converstation with me on the ride home, and all I could think was that he was going to kill me.
