So, Torchwood. I kind of love it. I've been verging on John Barrowman obsession for a little while, although I've been trying to keep it to myself. And then I watched the first two episodes and decided to throw discretion out the window. *g*





They're kind of badass.








My heart wrenched just a little bit here. Not gonna lie.












Gwen would be prettier without the 1999 bangs, I think.

Overlooking the intensity of that stare for just a minute, can I just say that Jack has the greatest hair? I always thought it was kind of boring on Doctor Who, but this whole spikey Jason Bateman thing he's got going on really works.

(beat) But that sounds kind of ridiculous. Invisible lift has got more of a ring to it, don't you think?

Jack: By tomorrow morning, you'll have forgotten everything about Torchwood. Worse still, you'll have forgotten me. Which is kinda tragic.












And here's where I may or may not have started shouting at my computer screen. The whole episode we're seeing this harder, darker Jack with just a hint of the silliness and boyish charm we all grew to love, and I never even saw this coming. I just assumed, you know, he took being brought back to life and left behind really badly. I'm so looking forward to uncovering Jack's mysteries bit by bit. I wonder if it's even going to be possible to get answers without Rose.

I was really hoping Jack'd put his immortality to good use with her. No, not hoping. Expecting.


Jack's attachment to David Tennant's hand is kind of creepy. Completely understandable, but creepy.

I liked the way there were little bits and pieces of Who scattered throughout the episodes, but it wasn't so overwhelmingly obvious that this was spun off of DW. I'm really digging the darker tone of this show, and I can see how it would be near impossible to bring the Doctor into this world. Overall, I'm happy with it and excited to see where it's all going.

And I for one think he should be! The Doctor deserves a spititual heir, and Jack is flakiest, most counter-intuitive possible candidate. Or something. Anyway, you can't have too many resurrection kisses!

Awesome! I am a sucker for picspams. And Jack of course. I would have capped his butt too if I knew how to cap things. I have a set of the glasses he's drinking out of in the chinese food part! I didn't notice that when I was watching. I think that is a really common pattern though.
