I watched the pilot last night!
So, I got Ashley to download the pilot screener and burn it to disc for me, so I could watch it. I decided I didn't want to wait two or three more days until Stew brought me my new computer. :p The whole time I was watching it, I was leaving messages for
madmoisellestar on AIM, the gist of which were: "OMG I LOVE TOMMYSCHLAMMEAARONSORKINOMG!" There may have also been some "JOOOOOOSH" in there somewhere, along with some squeeage when Felicity Huffman showed up and people were shouting "good show" at each other and yeah. I didn't even realize how much I missed this stuff until it was right in front of me.
I'm gonna have trouble thinking of Bradley Whitford as anything but Josh for awhile, I can already tell. I try really hard, and for a few minutes it looked like it would be easy, with the whole drug-problem thing, but then he did the Josh head-tilt at Jordan, and I was all JOOOOOSH again and it was sad for me.
Anyway, I love Matt andJosh's Danny's chemistry, and I love having Matthew Perry on my screen again. I like Jordan so far, but that might just be a general liking for Amanda Peet, I can't really tell at this point. I liked Sarah Paulsen okay, but I liked that it was Matt that broke up with her character instead of the other way around. That doesn't seem to be the normal order of things on most shows like this. I didn't really get a feel for any of the other characters, but I can definitely see the potential.
In conclusion: Matthew Perry was made for Sorkin-speak, and I miss Timothy Busfield's beard.
Seriously, bets on how long til Joshua Malina shows up? I'm saying mid-season. February sweeps?
++
Anyway. Fiona Apple tonight! I'm working hard to contain my bouncy glee at the moment, just in case you were wondering. *g* We've got pretty awesome seats, and Wolf Trap is a really great venue if you have good seats, so here's hoping for a fantastic show.

SO TRUE. He just *fit* right in, which is a weird thing to say for a new show, but it's true. I really loved the dynamic between him and BW.

Yep. Exactly. He really fits in with the Sorkin mold, which I guess we all noticed when he guested on TWW, but it's so much more apparent now. Plus, that first episode where he's on TWW, didn't he spend most of his time with Josh? Mmmmhmmm.
