So. This is more post-episode EEEEEEEEEEEE and less post-rewatch coherence. :p

Things I loved:
--Keith and the nipple twisting. I laughed through the next four lines of dialogue. I don't think I'll ever get that image out of my head.

--Lots of Wallace=yay. I had a feeling he wouldn't be an office aide again this year, though I'm fairly certain that him copying those keys and all that is going to come back and bite them in the ass. Someone's going to get in trouble for that one.

--Clearly, the scene at the door was awesome, but I'd already seen it so many times it didn't do as much for me as it did the first time. Though, nothing will ever in my life top the squeal that erupted from roxyoi301's mouth when Veronica said Logan' name.

--Weevil. When he drove off without Veronica, I was really upset, because the dynamic between the two of them was one of the first things that drew me into the show. I'm fairly certain my favorite part of the episode was when he turned back around and threw her the helmet.

--The fact that it was Lilly (taken straight out of Kanes and Abel's though it was) that essentially saved Veronica from going over the cliff on that bus. Yay Lilly!

--Okay, so if we can't have V/L, I'm glad we at least get the return of the Obligatory Psychotic Jackass. ;)


Things I didn't like as much:
--The fact that all the Logan stuff was so rushed. I'm not entirely sure I get the point of having them be together like that only to break them up without us really getting to see.

--The Logan/Duncan misdirection, which I saw coming a mile away. Okay, so I wasn't sure until the thing with the gasoline in the pool, but yeah.


Things that make me feel dirty:
--I don't hate Veronica/Duncan. At least, the way he ran up to Veronica at the cilff like that made me not hate it. I dunno. I'm reserving judgment for now.

--I'm kind of in love with Dick. All of his little comments about liking Veronica were priceless. Yay for him and the Beaver getting added to the credits!

--And hey. Good for Logan with the whole stepmom thing. Charisma Carpenter is hot. And we're gonna get shirtless!Logan out of the deal, so I'm all for that. ;)

I'm sure I'll be back in the discussion with all the other things once I've watched it again. I'm still sort of processing the Meg thing and the bus and the new characters and yeah. I'm so excited to have my show back!!

I *loved* it, I'll have to see it again to form coherent thoughts about it, but nice job there *g* Logan is *severely* damaged...but my unspoiled heart thinks that a Logan/Veronica reconciliation will happen this season...I just don't see Veronica/Duncan lasting very long, regardless of their history.

There was a lot to process in this episode and it was kind of a mind fuck of the highest magnitude, but RT didn't disappoint, at least for me. And I love the new credits, they're all shiny and new *g*

I don't hate Veronica/Duncan either...who knew? *g*

Oh, man, me too. Obviously. I love the two of them. So much. I didn't want him to hate her even though it made a lot of sense, and I think it was her mentioning the gunshot that did it. I'm not sure he knew about that. Either way, I'm so glad he still loves his Veronica.

Yeah, the more I think about it, that whole thing with Lilly and Weevil and all that was just the best. That was a nice little shoutout to Lilly, even if we're not going to be seeing her any more this season.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes Veronica/Duncan. It was just nice to see her happy for a change, and they were kind of cute together. I'm still not into Veronica completely glossing over her problems with these two boys like she always does, but that's okay. It's nice to see her smile like that. :)

--I'm kind of in love with Dick. Me, too. I liked Dick last season, but didn't love him. He won me over to the love camp with his Richard crack to Ms Dumas. Hee.

I liked that Weevil came back for her, too. Their relationship is a personal one and to have it just a "I hate you & you hate me but just because we're on different sides" would have been boring. I'm really looking forward to their interaction this season and to delving more into Weevil's relationship- or lack thereof- with his gang.

I didn't hate him last season, but I definitely didn't really care about him. This episode completely changed that. I hope he stays this amusing for the rest of the season. :)

And you're right, Veronica and Weevil's relationship is very much a personal one, and I like that Weevil put aside his problems with her actions over the summer and remembered that he did like her, and that she had done a lot for him. I am very interested to see where their relationship goes.

I agree completely. It seems like a bit of a waste of set up. But I think it will play out really well, so...

Heee! That was definitely the funniest part of the episode. Though this episode was really all about the funny. And the heart-wrenching, too. Funny how one show can do that. :p

And I agree, I think that the Logan stuff will play out very well this season, and of course it had to be rushed in the premiere. It still bugs a bit, but maybe the flashbacks this season will relate to the summer and all of the stuff that went on with Logan/Veronica and Logan's arrest.

I feel so lonely not liking Veronica/Duncan! I mean, I understand it, and whatever, I didn't exactly hate it, but... it irks me. It's not even the sister thing, either. I can't explain it. I don't want to dislike it, because it's going to be around for a while and I can't hate a Veronica pairing, otherwise I'll be hating a good portion of the show. But eh. Damn. Can someone tell me the secret to liking V/D?

See, that's the thing, I don't love it, and I'm not exactly sure I really like it, but I didn't hate it. And I can't really explain that, either. My head tells me it's yucky (love the icon by the way, heh heh heh), but I'm still not as completely squicked out as I thought I would be if the two of them started dating.

Lacy made a comment last night about seeing Veronica happy, and I'm wondering if that's where part of it came from. Even though, it's kind of false happiness that can't last, she's stable for the time being, and she deserves a little of that. And the two of them are so good at avoiding their issues that she'll get it for at least a little while longer.

Not that I want any of my characters to be stable or happy or anything. But it's nice to see for an episode or two. ;)

See, the thing with me is that her happiness seems off. It's weird, because even though I have rational reasons for not liking them, mainly the fact that their entire relationship is based on avoidance disguised as cuteness, that's not really why I'm so squicked. I can't really explain it.

Yeah, I get that. It is off, because Veronica is forcing herself to be something she isn't. I'm thinking that being with Duncan in this way is going to (hopefully) help her come to work through some of her issues more readily than she would if she were with Logan, who's own issues would constantly overshadow hers. And honestly, I think any relationship she had right now would feel off. She should probably not be with anyone at the moment, but I understand, given her current state of mind, why she jumped on the Duncan bandwagon as soon as it presented itself to her.

I understand her reasons, too. I do think it made sense, the way they went about it, and being with Logan right now would be all kinds of WRONG. He's completely out of it. The little we saw of her and Logan, that felt off, too. I really don't want her relationship with Duncan to end because of Logan, because then Veronica is just going from boy to boy without realizing anything about herself, and that's too cheap and way below my expectations for VM. If the story goes this way we're expecting, it can be really good, but... I just don't want to sit through too much of it. /whines

It's funny that going back through the first season again, I'm thinking some of the exact same things that I was thinking the first time...especially how much my love for this show spikes around the fifth episode. The first four are good and everything, but once you get past the fifth episode, you get tons better acting/plot/jokes, etc.

Few things:

Second, that's one of my all time favorite Logan quotes. ;)

Third, I totally agree. The season doesn't really start to pick up until (honestly, in my opinion) maybe the 10th episode or so. I mean, I do love the first half of the season, but all my favorite episodes are in the second half. This may also have something do with the fact that I'm a sad, sad little 'shipper fangirl, so anything that pleases my 'shipper heart is inherently better than anything that doesn't. ;)

So, are you converting tons of people? Yeah? Yeah? ;)

You have no idea. Pretty much anyone who utters the words "what are you watching" is getting the OMGTHISISTHEBESTSHOWEVERYOUHAVETOWATCH effect:-D The more I think about it, the more skeptical I am of this season though. First, the last season had an awesome mystery and the whole thing sorta centered around her. I don't know if they can effectively do that this season without looking obvious. And if they don't make it a controversy revolving around VM, I don't know if it will be as good. Plus, they can't kill Meg. Have you SEEN the one about the Purity Test? Also, they should bring back Casey, since I just saw that one too:-P.

Also, stop doing that thing you do with not having faith in my show. Has it steered you wrong yet? No? Well, until it does stop assuming it will. :p Besides, I hear this season's going to focus on Logan a lot more than last season, and while Veronica will obviously be a huge part of the mystery, it's not going to revolve around her the way it did last year. Since, of course, there's no way it could. :p

I need to get to the eps that are about Logan from S1. I'm starting to be of the mindset that Duncan and VM are good together (ya know, since I know the whole paternity thing now and don't have to feel weird about that). I did notice one thing watching today. When she's talking to her father, before she finds out that she and Duncan might be related, there's a scene where she's talking to her dad about her pregnant neighbor and her boyfriend and the whole "the kind of guy who would raise another man's child" thing and she pauses. I <3 foreshadowing:-P Anyway, watching Echoll's Family Christmas right now "Go little blonde one, annoy like the wind! Pff" Ahhh, he's such a good obligatory jackass. That's the only reason VM and Duncan are together now, so Rob can write more jackass parts for Logan - though he's more violent than juvenile this season, that might be problematic. Also, if you're online, you should get on AIM, since we're clearly just chatting at this point.

I'm going to give them a chance to work through their issues, and if looks like they're not going to, then I'll get my hate on. That was the one problem I had with V/L last season--the non-issue-resolving they had going on.

And anyway, if you're up to ep10, you're ohsovery close to Logan's storyline. Just wait it out an episode or two more. ;)
