A few things:

1. Thanks to everyone who left comments recently, sent me/recced me music, thought nice thoughts about me, all that stuff. It really does help.

2. Take my poll! I can't make decisions on my own. Although, it does look like I'm the only person who prefers Caress Me Down to What I Got. I think that's weird.

3. Would you all hate me if I told you I downloaded MMMBop and have listened to it like five or six times already? ETA: RedHeadFireQueen: I'M LISTENING TO HANSON!
RedHeadFireQueen: CABLE INTERNET IS EVIL!
Stew: ... any... what?
RedHeadFireQueen: any what?
Stew: First, any reason that you'd be listening to Hanson?
Stew: And second, what? :-)
RedHeadFireQueen: I'm listening to it cause it took less than a minute to download
RedHeadFireQueen: and I all the sudden had this NEED to hear it.
RedHeadFireQueen: and now I've listened to it like eight times
RedHeadFireQueen: it being MMMBop :-(
Stew: But... why?
RedHeadFireQueen: I DON'T KNOW!
RedHeadFireQueen: I CAN'T STOP!
RedHeadFireQueen: I'M THIRTEEN AGAIN AND I CAN'T STOP LISTENING!
RedHeadFireQueen: AND I KNOW ALL THE WORDS!
RedHeadFireQueen: WHEN DID I LEARN ALL THE WORDS TO THIS SONG?
Stew: Do I... do I need to hit you with something wooden?

4. I'm supposed to email a chunk of pages to Dr. Mary tomorrow for my Monday morning conference. I have not, as yet, started writing these pages. I will be away from a computer all day tomorrow. I think I'm screwed.

5. Okay, if you didn't hate me before...MMMBop ended and Barbie Girl came on. Can I claim nostalgia? *g* If you all knew Kenny Miller, you'd still like this song, too.

6. My stepfather, in a fit of guilt-ridden something or other, gave me lots of money this afternoon. I went to Best Buy and bought Starburst Editions Two and Three. Ben & Claudia commentaries weeeeee! Nevermind that whole buying groceries thing! Who needs to eat? :P

As it turns out, I don't have anything else to say. OH! Except that, dude. I love Tegan and Sara. Why didn't you people force me to listen to this earlier?

So. I should stop procrastinating online and either go to bed like a good little girl or do some work. I really don't think either is going to happen any time soon.

I prefer "Caress Me Down" to "What I Got."

Out of curiosity...what are you using that poll to decide?

I'm using to help me for my 90s mix! I can't make decisions on a lot of these songs, so in some cases I'm going with what everyone else thinks. In other cases, everyone else is clearly wrong and I'm going with what I think. ;)

I still can't listen to that song. It annoyed me with its pervasiveness way back when, but now it's just because it makes me think of someone I used to know, and I try to remember the re-tooled lyrics some friends of mine came up with.
I want you to imagine your typical 20 year-old goth guy. Eyeliner, lots of black fishnet. Fake fangs. Etcetera.
Now imagine that his name is Zach Hanson.
Word recognition kicks in. "MMMBop" becaome "MMMGoth."

Nostalgia! I swear! Plus, the little boy's voice is so funny. It's like he sang with a mouth full of M&Ms or something.

Heh. MmmmmmmmmGoth. It's like I'm going to eat him or something. :P

Just add the Spice Girls for extra flavor. :)

I can't stop! It's so poppy and boppy and I feel like I'm 13! Which, when you think about it, I shouldn't like so much. :P

I don't know if I'm ready for the Spice Girls. ZigaazigaaAH!

I prefer Caress Me Down, but damnit Heather, Savage Garden? You made me a choose a Savage Garden song? hehe...you should have put a neither coice.

I just realized I totally missed that post about suggesting music to you. I still may gather some suggestions and post.

I saw Tegan and Sara a few years back in Boston. I totally forgot about them until just now, Thank you. I think I'll try to find some of their stuff that I have.

Hope you had a nice weekend :)

Hahaha! YOU LOVE SAVAGE GARDEN! YOU LOVE THEM AND YOU CAN'T HELP IT!

Tegan and Sara are awesome. I went on a spree last night and downloaded everything I could find.

See you soonish. At the very least...you know what Tuesday is, right? ;) (NOT THE TV MEETING!)

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH LISTENING TO MMMBOP.

...though if you start listening to Yearbook, I'm going to have to start screaming at you. THERE'S A LION IN YOUR SILENCE!

Also, why does everyone like Brick better than Army? *whine* Army's so much better! Stupid everyone. Your poll made me want to listen to Savage Garden's I Want You, because that song is AWESOMENESS (and I can sing along! *pride*) and I went into iTunes... and I don't have it. I have to wait until June now. POO.

mmmbop bah duba dop bah doo wop

...I was going to download more old Hanson songs, but this one the only one I recognized.

I like Army better (especially the live version where he makes the audience sing along), but Brick's one of those songs that places me in my room as an eighth grader and it's weird. And I like it for some reason. :P

And hee. chica-cherry cola!
