You ever get in one of those funks where you know you should be writing, but there's just so much to get down you can't bring yourself to even start?

Yeah.

It's July already. This summer is going by so quickly. There was so much I had planned, and all I've done is work and watch television. It sucks because this will probably be my last real summer. Who knows what I'll be doing next year.

I certainly don't.

I went to see Fahrenheit 9/11 on Tuesday night. Reserving judgement for now, but I will say that I liked it better than Columbine. There was less Michael Moore in this one, and it was easier to distinguish what he was laying down as fact from what he was laying down as his opinion. Although, I will say this, I was dreading this movie, because I didn't want to watch scenes of burning buildings with planes stuck out of them. I appreciate the way he did it, with the screen black and only the sounds, but all I could think through that whole segment was who the fuck does he think he is making money off of this? And even if he were to donate every last penny of the profits to something or someone or Flint, Michigan, the man would still be exploiting it to get famous, whether intentionally or not. And that pisses me off. Granted, these are issues that probably need to be raised, though I doubt the people who need to think about them will see the movie with an open mind, but it still makes me seethe.

Ahem.

There are other things, as always. But instead, for no particular reason than I was just thinking about it, I give you random lists! In no particular order:

And that's just right now. I'm fickle. And indecisive. And I need to go buy new CDs. I was reading this thing in a magazine I picked up from work today about this new pretentious indie rock thing that's taking over the radio airwaves. Which, yay, good music on the radio, but really? I hate bands that take themselves way seriously. And I hate the fans who immediately dislike a good band once it gets radio play. Okay, so really I hate pretentious indie rockers. So be warned. All of you. ;)

This post brought to you by my randomness and utter boredom. And all those weird conversations I've been having lately that I'm too lazy to write about.

DIIIIIEEEE!!!

I mean. No. No hate for you. You send me the pretentious indie rock and I like it!

Heh, it's actually aimed at someone else who thinks his prententious indie magazines and CDs are way cooler than they really are. ;)

And, in case you can't tell, I'm in a really hyper-y mood. I think I should sleep it off. ;)

guilty

ahahahah, i actually made with the attaching to trendy music right before it trends. kinda like you with your singer-songwriter-guitar playing boys =) i guess theres a first for everything, since you totally know i didnt plan on the indie thing being the "popular" thing =P

ah well, c'est la vie. i will stick with it and eventually, they will pass it over just like ska, and ill still be there...just like ska. and my sometimes spikey hair. i should be in the entries somewhere more explicitly ;)

I was wondering that just the other day. Where IS that movie, eh? If I wasn't lazy I'd look it up on Amazon. Hehe.

Haha, I was just going to reply with that. And only because I'm too lazy to get ready for bed, because normally I would also be too lazy to look it up. ;)

And that's too far away. I need to own it now. At least there's a date, though, last time I looked there wasn't even that.

AMEN.

Heather, I used to think about the whole "what's next?" thing and drive myself insane a year before I graduated, and guess what? I graduated and I still don't know. And that's healthy. If people ask me "So do you have any future plans?" I've started telling them that no one likes answering that question, and then they laugh and leave the topic alone. So take it from me, waste no time worrying about it :)

Is this comment too long?

Oh yeah and I love that Lifehouse song. It's by far my most favorite of theirs.

I try and remember that I shouldn't worry about it and I'll find something I like and things will fall into place, but it can be a little hard sometimes. It is good to know other people who feel the same way, though. My summer roommate is getting married at the end of the month and moving to CT to go to Yale with her husband, so I've been living amidst those who have it all figured out, or so it would seem. It makes me uneasy sometimes, I guess.

And long comments are fun! Yay for rambles. :)
