Yeah, and that was the problem, I could have overlooked a couple of little things, but they just kept adding up.
And I guess Hugh was pretty good, but he didn't really have much to work with. I wish they could have actually played up the relationship a bit more than they did before he had to kill her. But then, my complaints are always about the lack of emphasis on character relationships, so I'm sure I'm biased. :p
