ARGH. That was not what I was waiting for all season long.
First of all? First of all, shooting Wallace like that was not. fucking. funny. I was tense through the whole episode, and not in the good what's-going-to-happen way. I'm still kind of tense. I know Wallace has kind of sucked lately, but I still love him to bits and that's no reason to have him nearly die. Like, I had a real, visceral reaction to it, much moreso than with Keith, which is kind of weird, but I mean. It's Wallace! And so now, Keith got shot at while there were no bullets in the gun, Wallace was shot at with blanks, I'm thinking the next person Veronica loves that gets shot at won't be so lucky (har har har). (ETA: Oh! And Logan was shot at, too, but the chamber was empty.) So. Who's it going to be? Actually, I'm more inclined to believe Laura's idea--Logan's going to shoot Aaron. Or maybe Logan's going to try to shoot Aaron, and get one in the chest himself instead. Not that he'll die, of course, but hey. Every season could end with a will-he-or-won't-he get killed cliffhanger. I don't know who else could get shot. Unless it's Duncan. I'd be okay if they killed Duncan.
No, I really don't think Aaron's going to live through the next episode. I don't see how he can. Veronica thinks he deserves to die, and we all know how her moral compass works. Someone's going to kill him and whoever that someone is won't experience any sort of repercussions, if you know what I mean.
Oh, also? So Veronica knew Logan destroyed the tapes? And she didn't care?? There's a real, honest to god reason for her to be angry with him, and she's not? Bzuh? Not that it really would have mattered. I think he would have gotten off either way. But still. Also? There weren't police officers who could attest to what was on the tapes? Someone other than Duncan, Veronica and Logan saw those tapes.
Anyway. I officially have no faith in the fact that everything will be wrapped up in next week's episode, because HOW THE HELL CAN THEY? No, seriously, I want to know. They barely touched on anything this week. Which I would have been totally okay with if the trial scenes had been better. ARRRRGGH. Especially since how much do I not care about Beaver & Mac and Terrance & Jackie? Not even a little tiny bit, that's how much. Especially if they aren't going to touch on any of the things I want to know about.
...I'm gonna go to bed. I didn't actually hate this episode, I'm just still reeling a little. More thoughts later, when I'm much less tense and can actually piece together my bus crash spec.
