Sep. 19th, 2004 09:46 pmSo I'm supposed to be writing a journal entry on my thoughts on the current ideas and prejudices of race and whether they were caused by slavery or whether they were already inherent and so helped to perpetuate and proliferate ante-bellum slavery. But I don't wanna.
I think I might want to if I thought we would actually talk about this stuff in class tomorrow. But since I know we will only discuss Barry Bonds'ssssss (I hate possessives) 700th homerun against Upton's home team, I feel inclined to not care at all.
Have you been outside tonight, though? It's fabulous, really. It's the perfect kind of weather, and the sky is clear and there's an oversized sliver of moon hanging just above the science building. The first day of fall is three days away. My last collegiate fall. I could cry. You don't understand how beautiful October is on this campus.
Has anyone else noticed my excessive use of the word fabulous recently? I'm not sure what brought it on, but everything is fabulous. Fabulous, dahling. Although the fact that I have to work another two hours is not at all fabulous. One would think I could get my work done in this setting, that was the whole point of taking Sunday nights after all.
I should get back to "work" though. Unless Rac and Aster show up soon, I have some time to kill. Maybe I'll go look for another book I'll never end up reading and then forget to turn in and rack up 20 more dollars in overdue fines! Yay!
Oh, also? I have silver toes. :)
