i wore the time like a dress that year
Sep. 1st, 2004 12:33 amToday, we finished the freshmen orientation video. That's right, folks. Two days after the program was completed, the video is D-O-N-E. You seriously don't know how excited this makes me. Last year, Ashley and I didn't come close to finishing it, and this year it's done so early, and it looks good. And dude, we spent way too much time the last few days in that studio.
But that makes me excited for this year, too. Ashley and I are going to single-handedly (double-handedly?) turn the station completely around, only to have it all go to hell again next year when Star Trek Joe takes over. Siiiiigh.
Today was also the poster sale, and I bought myself three new posters. One is of my imaginary boyfriend Lloyd Dobler, it's a black&white shot of him holding up the stereo with Peter Gabriel lyrics to the right of him. One is a really cool print of waves crashing into cliffs with Japanese characters up one side, which is this right here. And the last is this lovely print:

I saw it and debated for about ten minutes before deciding to buy it. Cause it's a beautiful naked woman with long red hair flying on her broken bike! So what if I'm not French and don't get the whole thing it's supposed to be. I love it so.
I had class today, which was fun. My schedule so far seems to be working out. MWF I have Editing and Desktop Publishing from 10:20-11:20, and then the Evolution of American Freedom at 12:40, which will probably be awesome if only because I LUFF my professor. He's hilarious and so cynical and he rarely stays on topic. Which is fun. Today I had one of two classes I have with Dr. Reed, and he's strange. I like him okay, but he can't stand still and his lecture is all over the place and he kind of resembles Willie Nelson. If Willie Nelson were a pirate. Today was Gender & Society, which I know I will love, and Thursday I have my night class with him, American Transcendentalism. I'm actually looking foward to this semester, I just kinda miss taking Lit courses. Maybe next semester I'll overdose before graduating.
Oh and? What day would be complete without my dose of New Guy? None, that's what, and today was the tourguide meeting and he's still so cute. And eventually, I'll get over this and stop talking about him all the time, I promise. :)
And hey Chris, thanks for the postcard. It makes me haaaaaapy!!! :))
