i just wanna sing a song with you
Aug. 22nd, 2004 10:13 pmI am almost completely unpacked. After spending a good portion of the day avoiding what was supposed to be done and doing other slightly less important things, I finally got all my clothes and various desk stuff put away. Plus I set up my makeshift nightstand, which is really just too purple crates full of books, with my lamp and alarm clock on top. I also hung up my Chinese lamp, so I've got a little more light in here when I want it. I have yet to hang up any pictures or posters, mostly cause a lot of my posters got damaged in the back of my car, and I'm afraid to find out just how badly. I think I'll wait until the annual poster sale and buy some new ones so it won't be so hard to part with the old.
But you can see the floor! And I have space to move around! This happens exactly three times a year, people. I should take a picture.
Yesterday was incredibly hectic, but I finally got my computer fixed. I owe Stew cookies. I also saw my grandparents and my mother, which means I was in the car for about six hours yesterday. I got home around 12:30 and basically collapsed into bed. There were a few crucial minutes while I was driving that I seriously didn't think I was gonna make it home, my eyes wouldn't stay open. But hey look. I did.
Tomorrow is another Summer Info Session, which means fifty prospectives and their whole families will be here, and I have to give them a tour. And stand on the street corner directing traffic. Joy. But Tuesday is my last day in the Admissions office! No more envelope-stuffing! Wednesday I'm training in the bookstore, and then Thursday I work for book rush. I'm kinda scared. Scary new freshmen and their parents. All wanting books. All at the same time. Thursday through Sunday is Orientation, and I'm filming again for the TV station. Then classes start on Monday and you will never hear from me again.
So excited. :P
I've listened to my new CD for about three hours straight, and I think this is my new favorite song. It's beeyooteeful.

And I think I'm dragging Racheal and whoever else wants to go to see Garden State tomorrow night. So yay. YAY! I need a Garden State icon. Anyone got any?
