I'm listening to the new Norah Jones CD. I had a bunch of junk food and watched Pirates of the Carribbean (Johnny Depp) with Racheal, cleaned my room and avoided my homework all day. I'm feeling much better.

This weekend was mostly good. Yesterday Rac and I drove to College Park to pick up Stew, and then the three of us took the metro into DC. We went to Pentagon City first for food at Noodles & Co. (where I had my favorite--the best mac&cheese in the world with Stewart's Key Lime), and then we went to Best Buy so I could buy a DVD player with my birthday money. I felt bad, cause Stew ended up carrying it around for me for the rest of the night. We rode into Georgetown, and walked up and down M Street for awhile. We passed the French restaurant where Greg and I had our first date, and plopped down in Urban Outfitters for some rest before heading back. (Oooh, and we ate at a cheesesteak place which was incredibly yummy, but really weird. They were playing that Frankie Muniz movie, Agent Cody Banks, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. It was run by a bunch of really gruff looking guys, it was in the middle of Georgetown late on Valentine's Day. Why would they be playing that movie?)

So that was lots of fun. I miss going into DC. Walking around the mall amidst the tourists and joggers late on a warm summer night. The twinkling lights of the city from the Woodrow Wilson bridge.

Ehh.

But I managed to get through today, so yay team me. I have to write a scene for creative writing, and I'm pretty stuck. I have a few ideas, but nothing concrete to build on. We're supposed to write about a really boring conversation between two characters without making the scene itself boring. I think I'll take a long, hot shower. I always get my best thinking done in the shower. Maybe I'll post it when I'm done. Maybe.

The prettiest thing
I ever did see
Was lightning from the top of a cloud
Moving through the dark a million miles an hour
With somewhere to be
