I've been thinking a lot about college and graduating and all that good stuff lately. I'm trying to slow down and enjoy what's going on around me while also trying to decide what the next step in my life should be after next May. And in the midst of all this, I discovered that I really love being in college.

This week alone is a perfect example. Tuesday night on my way back from work and before the Circle K meeting, I stumbled upon an improv jazz night in Ensor Lounge. A few professors from the music dept., including Eric Byrd who is hilarious and an amazing jazz pianist, and some students were randomly playing jazz tunes for a small but captive audience. So I sat on one of the couches for an hour and had an amazing time. Yesterday, after a particularly rough and tiring day, a bunch of us decided to go and see The Matrix. (Granted, I didn't really enjoy the movie at all, but the outing itself was fun). And tonight, I heard a lecture in McDaniel Lounge from a professor of English at the University of Central Florida, and she was really funny and interesting and spoke of teaching and learning and literature. Afterwards, I stopped by the Pub for some fries, and there was a musician taking requests and just kinda doin his thing up on the stage. Mix all that stuff in with just random things like roasting marshmallows on Christina's desk in her room (yes, we are that ghetto), and watching Angel or random movies or I Love the 80s with the girls, and I guess what I'm trying to say is I really am having a great time in college.

Nevermind all the work and stress and the obnoxious frat boys who live in the parking lot outside my window and scream as loudly as possible at 3 in the morning.

I'm worried about leaving. I'm not going to have opportunities like these after I graduate. Sure, there will be different kinds of oppourtunities and fun times, but I dunno. I guess it's just good that I'm realizing all of this now, and not next year, or worse, after graduation.

I'm rambling now. I need sleep.

I am teh hott!!! )

In other news, I am a not-clean girl. Every time I go to take a shower this morning, someone beats me in there by like 30 seconds. Ehhhh, I suppose they're the ones who have to deal with it if I smell. :)

I have too much work to do this weekend. Bah.
