I'd prefer not to lie, so I haven't really posted at all.

I want to be in a writing workshop again. But not the one I was in because it sucked. I wanna be in one like in Wonderboys. Where they'll tell me my writing is horrible and rip it to shreds and actually give me something constructive to work with.

There should at least be an LJ community like that. People on LJ are mean. Why won't they rip my writing apart?

Except who hasn't written anything new since May? That'd be me.

And speaking of Wonderboys, that movie's hilarious. Why didn't I remember it being so funny? Plus -- Tobey. ;) AND it's set in Pittsburgh on the CMU campus. So every other scene I get to yell "I'VE BEEN THERE!" cause I'm a big dork like that.

Yeah.

Wonderboys is fantastic. Tobey Maguire getting stoned makes me smile when I watch him :)

As far as your writing - I know I've commented at least once on your "serious" writing, and I don't think I was like "Oh this is so good this is the best thing I've ever read don't change it!" I forget when and what it was now... but the point is if you ever want to do it again, just post something in your journal saying you want feedback and I'll probably get around to it.

That is all.

I do remember you giving me actual constructive criticism. I just wish my class had been a little more helpful along those lines. The professor was great and there were a couple of people who gave good advice, but mostly the class was a bunch of people who didn't really know much about the writing process and were only in there for fun. So it wasn't a lot of help for the few of us who were actually serious about writing.

If I write something new I would probably post it. My baby of a story hasn't been looked at in almost two months, and besides it's 13 pages long in Word, so I don't know if anyone would want to read something like that just randomly.

Even still, if you want an opinion on any of your writing, feel free to send it my way even if you don't post it in here. My dad's a writer so I do this kind of thing often enough.

Thanks, I'll definitely keep that in mind. I could use all the help I can get on the one piece. But I think I'll wait until I have the paitence to really look at it again.
