vm stuff

OMG. Leo's all "I know he's in here" and then they pan to the shot of Logan with the knife? It's so totally going to be Logan at the door. Eeeeeee! Yay!

Also, Urine Trouble yay! Go Ashley on guessing that it would have to do with drug tests and stuff. And what's this about an 09er boyfriend? I severely don't like the idea of Veronica having the boyfriend already, and the audience not getting to see the build up. Grrr. Unless, I guess, it's Duncan and it means they're going to break up really quickly. Yuck.

If we're assuming that we're correct in that it's Duncan, I think it's strange that we don't get to see it play out. But it also says to me that that's not the relationship that we're supposed to be watching. Because, hey! Playing out in the background, off-screen. Not actually interesting or important enough to show.

I was also thinking about Veronica being back in the 09er circle, dating one of their own, not working as a detective anymore... Huh? Does this sound like the girl we all came to know and love last season? I loved that Veronica much more than v1.0 and I think the writers do too. I can't imagine anyone finding v1.0 fascinating enough to actually write an entire show about.

So here's what I think will happen: Veronica and Duncan have gotten back together and are happy. Blah, blah, blah and yawn. Then Veronica takes this case for Wallace's and Meg's sakes. She starts getting back into the detective business bit by bit, while at the same time trying to help Logan because she realizes at some point that something's fishy. Then, about mid-season probably, she also realizes that she's not who she was and Duncan is too much a part of that old life. Bye-bye Duncan. And then the mystery and V/L play out during the second half. Much like season 1, in fact. =)

I think you're probably right. I think the writer's don't think Veronica should regress, but Veronica thinks she should. It makes complete sense to me that she would try to revert to Veronica 1.0, not only because she has nothing to fill that void after solving the case, but also because she thinks that's what she's supposed to do. It's almost like the same way she was with her mom, so practical and cynical about everything except the for the idea that her mother would disappoint her again.

Because I find it hard to reconcile the Veronica we know in S1 to a Veronica that would want to get back together with Duncan. But I almost think that if her mother hadn't let her down yet again, she would have had enough fight left in her to realize, without actually dating him again, that Duncan and that life weren't what she wanted anymore. It's like, instead of being totally naive about that facet of her life, she chooses to turn a blind eye to her situation with Duncan instead, also giving her a chance to be avoidance girl when it comes to Logan, again.

So yeah. It'll probably take her awhile to realize that she can't fight who she's become, and then hopefully we'll get back on track with V/L. ;)

Arrrrgh. So many typos and far too many commas in the wrong place. I'm very tired. :P

I think your speculation is right on. NOW I JUST NEED TO SEE IT TO BE SURE!

*cough*

Sorry.
