See, I think that's what it was for me, too. When he was waiting for her at the track, he wasn't asking for anything, he was just standing there so completely defeated, you know? Did he even apologize outright, because I don't think he did. That moment is really all about what he needs for himself, not about his feelings, real or imagined, for Hannah. Or so I'm going to choose to believe. ;)
And I'm 99% sure it was Buffy's high school, but I'd have to watch again to be positive. But there were the red roofs and archways and the big lawn. And I know that specific high school is used for a lot of different shows and movies, so I really think it was. But still. It's weird.
